Obituary of Angela Marie Tarantino

Devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Angela Marie Silano Tarantino, age 88, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, June 21, 2010 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Flumeri, Province of Avellino, Italy on August 22, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Maria Silano. She was pre-deceased by a son Anthony Tarantino, two daughters, Rose Foley and Caroline Conlin, a grandson Aaron Tarantino, a sister Carmella Giacobbe, and her former husband Generoso Tarantino. A lifelong homemaker, Angela was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed long walks, tending to her garden, and cooking for her family. She will be missed dearly by all. Angela is survived by three loving children, Mary Ruszkowski and her husband Stanley, Gino Tarantino and his wife Susan, and Ralph Tarantino, all of Trumbull. She is also survived by her brother Peter Silano of Florida and three sisters, Josephine Giacobbe and Angie Ranucci, both of Bridgeport and Rose Feola of Florida. She was the devoted grandmother of Kim Humber, Anthony Tarantino Jr., Stanley Ruszkowski III, Michael Ruszkowski, Ryan Tarantino, Megan Murcko, Ashley Tarantino, Stacey Miller, Jillian Miller, Matthew Tarantino, Gina Tarantino and Gino F. Tarantino and great grandmother to Hailey Grace Ruszkowski and Dylan and Kaylie Murcko. Angela is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
