Obituary of Frank J. Super

Frank J. Super, age 77, of Monroe, beloved husband of Phyllis Micalizzi Super, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Masonicare at Newtown. Born in Stratford on September 14, 1935, he was a son of the late John Super and Anna Super Turiano. A graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School, Mr. Super served in the National Guard. He had worked for City Lumber before becoming the co-owner with his partner Leonard Segal of City Kitchens of Bridgeport for many years. In his retirement he drove a bus for the Trumbull Senior Center and worked in the Monroe school cafeterias. In addition to his wife Phyllis, survivors include three children, John A. Super of Monroe, Wendy J. Super of Holiday, FL and Sandra J. Super of Bridgeport, three grandsons, Christopher A. Becker and his wife Melissa of AZ, Shawn M. Becker of Monroe and Anthony O. Novak Jr. and his wife Dianna of CO, five great grandchildren, Christopher M. Becker, Angelee M. Becker, Nicholas A. Becker, Isaiah A. Becker and Aluna H.J. Becker, a sister, Ann Vito of Milford as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Casoria. The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors, staff, nurses and aids at both Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincents Medical Center, especially Dr. Philip Micalizzi, Jr. for his care and dedication. Also a special thank you to the nurses and staff at both Masonicare Home and Health and Hospice and Masonicare at Newtown, on both sides of the third floor as well as all the friends and family who called and gave their support during their time of need. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 12:00 noon for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
