Obituary of Frederick J. Steinbrick

U.S. Navy Veteran Frederick J. Steinbrick Jr., age 77, of Seymour and formerly of Monroe, beloved husband of Dorothy Kmetz Steinbrick died on Sunday May 29, 2011 at Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 21, 1934 he was the son of the late Frederick Sr. and Mildred Coulson Steinbrick. Fred was a graduate of Central High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran stationed in Philadelphia PA and Pensacola, FL where he trained as a radiology technician. Fred was formerly the Bridgeport Hospital Radiology Department Administrator and X-Ray School Instructor, and was also Executive Director of E.T.R.A. in Bridgeport. In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy, survivors include four children, Fred Steinbrick III and his wife Barbara of Monroe, Ellen Steinbrick of Seymour, Karen Kalach and her husband Jim of Cheshire and Andrew Steinbrick and his wife Lynn of Orange, 10 cherished grandchildren, Nick, Max, Erin, Carly, Alex, P.J., Bethany, Jimmy Willy and Emmy, a sister Sandra Reed of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Rd., Trumbull on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Monroe. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road Trumbull.
