Obituary of Meridith Leigh Solustri

Bon Jovi's #1 Fan Meridith Leigh Solustri, age 33, of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 26, 2009 surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her illness, Meridith always maintained a positive outlook and most of all, her beautiful smile and love of life. She was a genuine, fun-loving person with a unique personality and an infectious sense of humor. Meridith will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She was born in Winfield, IL on July 7, 1976. Meridith is the beloved daughter of Donald A. Solustri of Jacksonville, FL, and Kyle Ann Smith Solustri of Trumbull. She graduated from Trumbull High School in 1994 and earned an associates degree from Norwalk Community College, and later attended the University of New Haven. Meridith loved the California lifestyle and beaches, calling it her happy place. She loved to spend time with her pets, especially taking long walks with her dog, Tico. Meridith was also Bon Jovis number one fan. After growing up in Trumbull, she previously resided in Long Beach, CA, and Jacksonville, FL. While residing in Long Beach, Meridith was employed as a Senior Executive Assistant to the President of Balfour Beatty Rail. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two devoted brothers, Daniel Solustri and Christopher Solustri and his wife, Stefania and her very special nephew and godson Luca Solustri, all of Trumbull, her maternal grandparents, William and Barbara Smith of Fairfield, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Americo and Rose Solustri. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday November 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
