Obituary of Giuseppe Silvestri

Retired Foreman for E & F Construction Giuseppe Silvestri, age 89, of Bridgeport, a retired foreman for E & F Construction, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy on September 27, 1920, he was a son of the late Domenico and Filomena Cerri Silvestri and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed winemaking and gardening. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Santa Bauco Silvestri, a son Livio Silvestri, a brother Americo Silvestri and a sister Caterina Ferrante. Survivors include a loving daughter, Liana Cerro and her husband John of Bridgeport, a sister-in-law Lidia Silvestri of New Jersey, and a brother-in-law Giuseppe Fratarcangeli of Bridgeport and three cherished grandchildren, John Joseph Cerro, Caroline and Deanna Cerro and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine Chapel, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
