Obituary of Mary Antoinette Sigona

Stratford Resident Mary Antoinette Lupo Sigona, age 89, of Stratford, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2008. Born on April 17, 1918 in Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Ammatuna Lupo. She worked for Chance Vought Aircraft of Stratford during World War II and later had a long career at Robert Shaw Controls of Milford from which she retired at age 67. Mary loved spending time with family, attending family dinners and celebrations and in her younger years she enjoyed traveling. She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Sigona, a son Frank J. Sigona of Stratford, two brothers, Joseph Lupo of Wisconsin and Anthony Lupo of Savannah, GA and a sister, Jospehine Crosby and her husband Tim Crosby of Savannah, Georgia. She is survived by a son John Sigona and his wife Virginia of Stratford, a granddaughter, AnnMarie Sigona of Wallingford, a grandson John F. Sigona and his wife Stacie of Trumbull, two great grandchildren Hunter and Gabriella, a brother Frank Lupo of Holland, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
