Obituary of Edwin C. Seaferd

Resident of Trumbull Edwin C. Seaferd, age 90, of Trumbull, died on Thursday, February 18, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 24, 1919, he was a son of the late Louis C. and Rose Noeth Seaferd. A U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II, he was a retired field engineer for Steel Tech Building Products. Edwin has been a Trumbull resident for 45 years and also Long Island, NY. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Locust Valley Long Island fire department. He was pre-deceased by a son, David Seaferd, a daughter, Robin Yerby, a brother, Hartly Seaferd and a sister, Elvira Kasper. Survivors include his beloved wife of 28 years, Emily Mudrick Seaferd, a son, Gary Seaferd and his wife Susan of Suffield, stepdaughters, Joyce Ward of Trumbull and Susan December of Kansas, daughter-in-law, Dawn Seaferd of Kansas, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
