Obituary of Frederick D. Scalzi

U. S. Army Veteran Frederick Daniel Scalzi, age 94, of Trumbull, died on Saturday, October 13, 2007 in Ludlowe Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 29, 1913, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria Incoronata Lippiello Scalzi. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a priming tool setter for Remington Arms retiring in 1975 with 37 years of service. He cared for his wife for 30 years along with her loving sister Vivian Noia. He was pre-deceased by his wife Josephine (Jean) Dialasio Scalzi, three brothers, Casper, John and Anthony Scalzi, two sisters, Theresa Puglisi and Marie Matthews, two nieces, Joan DiPronio and Mary Horvath. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Veronica Scalzi of Milford, a brother-in-law, Ralph Pietrantonio and his wife Minnie of Trumbull, his longtime companion and caring friend Olga Nosal of Trumbull as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ludlowe Health Care and the Connecticut Hospice for their great care and compassion. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
