Obituary of Raymond L. Baker

Raymond L. Baker, age 83, devoted husband of Antoinette Comino Baker of Trumbull, died on Friday June 3, 2011 at his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Baker was born on August 19, 1927 in New York City, a son of the late Leo and Carmella Buccalo Baker and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran and served with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper in World War II. Raymond was the Owner/Operator of Stratford Truck Leasing Co. affiliated with Tilo Roofing for over 30 years. He was a past President of The Holy Name Society at Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 10069, the Trinacria M.A. Society,the Italian Community Center and a former past President of UNICO Bridgeport Chapter.

In addition to his beloved wife Antoinette of 60 years he leaves two loving children, a son, Raymond Baker II and his wife Sharon of Ballston Lake, NY and daughter, Joan Baker Neal of Sherman Oaks, CA, two cherished grandchildren, Kellie Marie Baker and Dillon Neal, four sisters, Marion Orloff of Branford, Kitty Berry of Shelton, Linda Levine and her husband Arthur of Ridgefield, Mary Fedornak of Shelton as well as many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m.in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
