Obituary of Steven J. Sarka

Steven J. Sarka Jr., age 62, of Shelton, died on Thursday June 2, 2011 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on September 28, 1948 he was the son of the late Steven Sr. and Jennie Carbone Sarka. Steven was a former employee of Shaws Supermarket. A resident of Gardner Heights in Shelton, Steven was very active in many activities and enjoyed his interaction with the many residents with whom he made great friendships. He especially loved time spent with his family. Survivors include his many cousins and dear friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Gardner Heights for their compassionate care. 

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 12 noon in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00 am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity of ones choice.
