Obituary of Evelyn Santacroce

Evelyn (Ona) Theresa Santacroce, age 74, died peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. She was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and graduated from Warren Harding High School. She was a retired secretary for the Bridgeport Board of Education.

She is predeceased by her parents John and Rose Santacroce, her sisters, Antoinette Santacroce, Elizabeth (Betty) Ricci, Jean (Jenny) Iodice, a brother Peter Santacroce and a nephew Frank Nardella.

She is survived by one brother Ralph Santacroce and his wife Ann of Arizona, several nieces and nephews and additional great nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.

Evelyn was a woman of strong faith who trusted in the Lord for strength and courage. She was a blessing and an inspiration to her devoted caregivers, nieces Cheryl Gardiner and Beverly Benedetto. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
