Obituary of John S. Rydzik

Easton Resident RYDZIK- John S. Rydzik, age 85, of Easton, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer with his wife Claire of 62 years at his side. In addition to his wife Claire, John is survived by three children; John P. Rydzik and his wife Mary of Auburn, CA; Rachelle Rydzik of Scottsdale, AZ; and Jude Christopher Rydzik and his wife Jean of Easton. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer and Ester Rydzik of CA and Jack Harry Rydzik of Easton. Other survivors include three brothers and one sister; Peter Rydzik, Paul Rydzik and Joseph Rydzik, all of Simpson, PA and Marcella Thomas of Waymart, PA. Additionally, John has many nieces and nephews. Born in Jermyn, PA on October 20, 1924, John was the son of John J. Rydzik and Lottie Podleski Rydzik. He graduated from Archbald High School in 1942. A U.S. Navy World War II veteran, John earned his BS from the University of Scranton in 1959. John retired from the General Electric Company in 1990 having more than 31 years of service. Funeral Information Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Prayer services will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Other visitation and Rite of Christian Burial services will take place in Jermyn, Pennsylvania.
