Obituary of Robert J. Boucher

Robert J. Boucher, age 84, of Trumbull, a retired engineer for Ansonia Copper and Brass with over 30 years of service, died at his residence on Friday, February 20, 2009. Born in Meriden on March 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Adolph and Mabel Dontigney Boucher. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of C.R.I.S., a volunteer at the Barnum Museum and a lector at St. Catherine of Siena Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Beatrice Watcke Boucher, three devoted children, Robert L. Boucher and his wife Rosalie of Norwalk, Margaret B. Shapiro and her husband Gary of North Granby and Craig J. Boucher and his wife Mary of Simsbury, four grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Robert Paul and Isabella and a niece. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
