Obituary of Rosalie Ruocco

Rosalie (Minai) Ruocco, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a courageous battle against cancer. Rosalie was born in the Bronx, NY. She married William in 1953 and they settled in Trumbull where they resided for 47 years. She worked for the Town of Trumbull and PHS. They retired together and split their time between Singer Island, Florida, Cape Wellfleet, MA and Trumbull. Together they raised three daughters, Donamarie, Laura and Jeanne. Rosalie and Bill extensively traveled the world. She was a member of Tashua Knolls Womens 18 Holers, the TCFD Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered for the Trumbull Read Aloud Program. She took great pride in her home, loved entertaining and was an excellent cook. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William of Shelton, CT, her daughters, Donamarie and Bruce Barrows, DMD of Granby, CT, Laura and Richard Pulie of Trumbull, CT and Jeanne and Michael Wolf of Broad Brook, CT, grandchildren, Amy and Julie Barrows, Victoria, Krista and Lisa Pulie and Benjamin Wolf. She is also survived by her sister Josephine Lackhy of Del Ray Beach, FL and pre-deceased by her brothers Angelo and Michael Minai. Rosalie will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
