Obituary of Richard Ruggio

Bridgeport Resident Richard Ruggio, age 68, of Bridgeport, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on June 11, 1943, he was a son of the late Fred E. and Raffaella Cerino Ruggio. Mr. Ruggio served in the Army National Guard and received an engineering degree from Norwalk Technical College. Before his retirement he was an Assistant Tax Assessor with the City of Bridgeport for over 30 years. He will always be remembered as having a good heart, a devoted brother and uncle and was an avid fisherman. Survivors include two brothers, Frederick Ruggio and his wife Utina of Shelton and John Ruggio and his wife Debra of Bridgeport and a Brother-in-law Roger Heigel and his wife Gail as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Theresa Heigel. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.
