Obituary of Rose M. Rolleri

Rose M. Forte Rolleri, age 81, of Derby, formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Rolleri, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at her home with her family at her side. Rose was born on August 23, 1922, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Louise Fusco Forte. She was raised in the North End of Bridgeport and attended Central High School. During World War II, she worked at both Remington Arms and Banthin Body. After being married, Rose spent most of her life at home raising her five children, then returned to work and later retired from the Sikorsky Aircraft Division of United Technologies Corp. Her lifes greatest joys were her children and her family. She was the most devoted and loving mother that anyone could ever hope to have. Rose also had an extended family of dozens of her childrens friends who grew up along with her family on Edison Road in Trumbull where there were happy times, great food prepared by Rose and always an abundance of laughter and joy. Rose also loved trips to the casinos and taking long, scenic rides touring new home construction and was never afraid to venture out of state in search of new places to visit.

She was the beloved and cherished mother of five devoted children, Richard Rolleri of Derby, Eugene J. Rolleri, Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Derby, Barbara Rolleri Calia and her husband, Paul of Bridgeport, John Rolleri and his wife, Phyllis of Trumbull, and Andrew Rolleri and his wife, Mary Ellen of Bridgeport; a brother, Leonard Forte and his wife, Angie of Trumbull, a sister, Eleanor Forte Gentile of Shelton, a sister-in-law, Catherine Cavaliere of Stratford, a brother-in-law, Emil Rolleri and his wife, Ruth of Stratford, five grandchildren of whom she adored and enjoyed immensely, Marc, Katherine and John Rolleri and Christopher and Alan Dalaku and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and treated as her own children. Rose was pre-deceased by her sister, Lillian DeMalt and eight brothers, Ernest, Anthony, Emilio, Carl, Albert, Edward, Eugene and Richard Forte.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 24, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
