Obituary of Edwin H. Riggs

Edwin H. Riggs, Jr., age 68, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Carol Stowers Riggs, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 22, 1943, he was a son of the late Edwin H. and Jessie Cravens Riggs, Sr. Mr. Riggs was an employee of Dupont Sorvalle for many years before his retirement. An avid hunter and fisherman, he loved being outdoors and was a big fan of the New York Giants. In addition to his wife Carol, survivors include two sons, Edwin H. Riggs III and his wife Christine of Trumbull and Timothy J. Riggs and his wife Christine of Naugatuck, a sister, Sherral McNeely and her husband Jerry of Summersville, WV, two grandsons, Trevor and Justin Riggs, many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Baby. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
