Obituary of Barbara M. Rascan

Barbara Fabry Rascan, age 76, of Killingworth and formerly of Trumbull, died on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at home. Born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John and Muriel Gordon Fabry. She was a retired cashier for the Grand Union for 42 years, an avid Yankee fan and Harlequin romance novel reader. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and Mema and will be sadly missed. Survivors include three devoted daughters, Jacqueline Cortez and her husband Juan of Brant Lake, NY, Jill Thomas of Branford and her companion Kent Smith, and Meribeth Cipriano and her husband David of Killingworth. Two sisters, Patricia Fabry of Florida and Phyllis Beno and her husband Howard of Easton, five cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Chase, Gianna, Patrick and Maria. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull.
