Obituary of Benjamin Rapice

Benjamin Rapice, Jr., age 85, of Stratford, beloved husband of Jo-Ann Fusco Rapice, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 12, 1927 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Benjamin Sr. and Mary Smith Rapice. A graduate of Central High School, he was a U. S. Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Princeton. Mr. Rapice was a photoengraver for Graphic Color Plate, Inc. of Stamford with over 40 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and the many family trips they took over the years. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. In addition to Jo-Ann, his wife of 63 years, survivors include four children, Robert and his wife Ann of Wolcott, Ron and his partner Marjorie of Black Rock, Laurie Naiden of Beacon Falls and Richard and his wife Kimmarie of Stratford, daughter-in-law, Mary Beth, seven grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Alex Benjamin, Joseph, Richard John, Annette and Ashley, a great granddaughter, Avery and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
