Obituary of Isidore Quaranta

Resident of Trumbull Isidore Izzy Quaranta, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born on September 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Francesco and Grace (Poppa) Quaranta. Izzy started his career at Kurt H. Volk Company and retired as a bindery foreman from Reproduction Services. He was also a 4th degree knight of the Monsignor Murphy Knights of Columbus. The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Bridgeport Hospital MICU for their extraordinary care. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Agnes (Banas) Quaranta and their family: three sons, Frank and his wife Joanne of Monroe and their children, Gina, Jodi and Jennifer, Gary and his wife Joann of Monroe and their children, Gary, Jr. and Lisa, Izzy and his wife Karen of Monroe and their children, Lindsay, Alana and Brittany, one daughter, Annemarie Arsenault and her husband Richard of Huntington and their children, Karianne and David. He is also survived by his brother Ralph and sister-in-law Fran of Murrels Inlet, SC, sisters-in-law Lucy Quaranta of Murrels Inlet and Filomena Quaranta of Bridgeport as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers, Guy, Fred, Anthony and Frank Quaranta and sisters, Antoinette Melchiorre, Elizabeth Mangiante and Angelina Galletti. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
