Obituary of Gennaro C. Prete

Oxford Resident PRETE Gennaro Carmine Prete, age 39, of Oxford, co-owner of Jerrys Auto Body in Bridgeport, died suddenly on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Born in Bridgeport on January 15, 1971, he was the son of Vivian Fabrizio Prete and Gennaro Prete of Newtown. Gennaro, known by his family and friends as Jerry, studied classical guitar at Hart School of Music. He had a passion for building and riding custom motorcycles. His motorcycles appeared in a Queen Latifah music video and television and magazine advertisements, including one for Bausch and Lomb sunglasses. In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, LeeAnn Browett and her husband Giles of Southbury, his maternal grandmother, Susie Valente Fabrizio of Easton, a nephew, Benjamin Bernard, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandfather, Rolando Fabrizio, and his paternal grandparents, Carmine and Rosina DAnnunziata Prete. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Rd., Newtown on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
