Obituary of June M. Prescott

June Marilyn Prescott, age 79, of Bridgeport, died on Saturday, October 29th at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Anthony and Julia (Doycsak) Argonese. June worked as a documentation manager at Unilever (formerly Chesebrough Ponds/Ragu Foods) for 25 years until her retirement in 1997. For the past 15 years, she volunteered and worked at the Bridgeport Hospital Gift Shop, and was a member of the hospitals Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a notary public and a board member of the Success Village Co-op. Known for her creative flair, June enjoyed cooking, home decorating and handicrafts. Beloved wife of the late John Jack Prescott, June was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include two sons, James M. Prescott and his wife Regina of Milford and Jon A. Prescott and his wife Sylvia of Pleasantville, NY, and two grandsons, James K. Prescott of Milford and Owen B. Prescott of Pleasantville, NY. She is pre-deceased by a sister, Winifred Regina. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family members on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. Trumbull. A Memorial Mass celebrating Junes life will take place on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Ambrose Church, 1596 Boston Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
