Obituary of William E. Powe

Stratford Resident William (Bill) Powe Sr. age 75, of Stratford, died on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Frederick Sr. and Kathleen Nowell Powe, and graduated from Stratford High School. He worked as a mechanic for Powe Brothers Fuel Oil and his own business, Bills Tree Service and Landscaping. He was an avid boater and fisherman. Survivors include his former wife and mother of his children, Betty Ann Tartaglia, two sons, William E. Powe Jr. and Daniel E. Powe, two daughters, Betty Ann Pjura and Kimberly DiCicco, two sisters, Carol Roberts and Kathleen Nash both of Stratford, six grandchildren, Nichole, Heather and Rachel DiCicco, Jim and Billy Pjura and Danielle Powe , and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Ronald Powe and a brother, Frederick Powe Jr. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and caregivers at Hewitt Healthcare, Shelton for the kindness and compassionate care they provided. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
