Obituary of Vincent A. Piscitelli

Special Police Officer for the Town of Fairfield Vincent Anthony (Jimmy) Piscitelli, age 72, of Fairfield, a retired employee for the Town of Fairfield Public Works Department with 45 years of service, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 10, 1935, he was a son of the late Francesco and Ippolita DeLucia Piscitelli and was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He had proudly served as a Special Police Officer for the Town of Fairfield and had enjoyed coaching Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball. He was a member of the American Legion of Fairfield. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ruth Burgess Piscitelli, four children, Maryellen Ruth Check and her husband Bernie of Mechanicsville, NY, Rosemarie Pamela DiSanto of Monroe, Francesco George Piscitelli and his wife Ruth of Monroe and Kim Lorraine Falsetti and her husband Bert of Shelton, a sister, Josephine Piscitelli of Trumbull, two brothers, Angelo Piscitelli and his wife Marie of Bridgeport and Francesco Piscitelli and his wife Irene of Trumbull, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Rosina Papale and her husband Nick and a great grandson Anthony Mitchell Ashdown. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Bridgeport Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
