Obituary of Carl N. Pinto

Resident of Trumbull Carl (Carlino) N. Pinto, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Marie Pagliaro Pinto, died on Monday, August 8, 2011 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on September 3, 1924, he was a son of the late Alexandro and Katherine Cascella Pinto. Mr. Pinto was United States Navy Veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre. Prior to his retirement at Sikorsky Aircraft, he was a machinist at Barnaby Company and D & L Engineering. He was 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Mother Cabrini Council of Bridgeport and the VFW Post 10059 in Trumbull. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. In addition to Marie, his wife of 62 years, survivors include his two daughters, Diana Wezalis and her husband Richard of Landenberg, PA and Carol Jean Pinto of Shelton, two grandchildren, Regina and Joseph Wezalis, a great granddaughter, Dominique Harris, all of Landenberg, PA, two sisters, Josephine Pagliaro and Carmela Martino and her husband Marty, all of Bridgeport and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by six brothers, Frank, Ralph, Nick, John, Joseph and Robert. The family would like to thank the aids from Vitas Hospice Care and Comfort Keepers. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
