Obituary of Lynn Sharon Piner

Stratford Resident Lynn Sharon Reh Piner, age 61, a life long Stratford resident, died on Saturday, December 23, 2006, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 10, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Jeannette and Francis E. Reh Jr, and graduated from Bunnell High School. Lynn was a former office manager and audiology technician at the Alhbin Center. She was a renal transplant and lung cancer survivor and fought a long and brave battle with tremendous strength, courage, pride and dignity. The greatest joy and pleasure in her life was her unconditional love, support and devotion to her four beautiful grandchildren. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Church and was predeceased by her sister, Jeannette E. Segla and half sister, Lori A. Gurrieri. Survivors include her husband, William W. Piner Jr., a daughter, Pamela E. Free of Stratford and her father, John T. Southmayd, loving grandchildren, Daniel E. Free Jr., Matthew J. Free, her special twins, Tyler J. Barnum and Destiny L. Barnum, two brothers, Francis E. Reh III and his wife Janice of California and Robert C. Reh and his wife, Sue of Milford, a sister, Diana L. Bellizzi and her husband Frank of Florida, a half sister, Robin Reh and her partner Michael of Fairfield, brother in law, Richard S. Segla Sr. and godson, Gregory T. Segla, both of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m..
