Obituary of Nicholas A. Piccirillo
Nicholas A. Piccirillo, age 79, of Shelton, a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late John and Carmela Testa Piccirillo and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran who served with the 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division and was awarded the Combat Infantrymans Badge.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and John Piccirillo Jr.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Susan Misinonile Piccirillo, a daughter, Deborah Albright and her husband Dave of Bisbee, AZ, a son, Troy Piccirillo and his fiance, Maryann Swiski of Shelton, a brother Michael Piccirillo of Trumbull, grandchildren, Robert, Brittany, Audrey, Crystal and Justin, a great grandson, Michael Xavier and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend thanks to the doctors of CT Heart and Vascular of Bridgeport, caregivers from Vitas Hospice and the staff of Lord Chamberlain Health Care for their outstanding care in their time of need.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Huntington. Entombment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 8:30 -9:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
