Obituary of Francis A. Petriello

U. S. Army Veteran Francis A. Petriello age 83, of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest with his family by his side on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in St. Vincents Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on December 5, 1928 in Bridgeport, to the late Joseph and Mary Jane Norton Petriello. Francis graduated from Providence College and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired insurance executive for ITT Hartford Insurance Group with 35 years of service. He was also a past Commissioner of the Trumbull WPCA. Francis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Ambrose Petriello of Trumbull, his son and his wife, Kevin Francis and Marisa Petriello of Trumbull, his daughter, Sharon Rogerson; two grandchildren, Taylor Rogerson and Sean T. Rogerson, Jr., all of Bethlehem; two sisters, Arline Dyer of Bridgeport and Philomena Culley of Stratford; his nephew and his wife, William and Terri Culley of Avon, nephew, Edward Peck of California and niece and her husband, Maureen and Tom Hirsch of Colorado and their children, Dacia, Jessica and Matthew. He is further survived by several relatives and his special friend, Sean T. Rogerson, Sr. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull.
