Obituary of John Perry

Resident of Bridgeport John Perry, age 83, of Bridgeport, a retired employee for Sturm Ruger, died on Monday, March 22, 2010 in St. Vincent Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on January 18, 1927, he was a son of the late John and Anna Perry. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a corpsman with the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Perry was an avid Boston Red Sox, UConn Mens and Womens Basketball and NASCAR fan. Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Anna Marie Ferrazzano Perry and their children, Charles Bennett and his wife Mary of Shelton, Laura Young of Bridgeport, Jacquelynn Cruz and her husband Carlos of Stratford and special friend Sophia (Sue) Perry and the mother of their three sons, Jon Perry, Jeffrey Perry and Jordan Perry, all of Bridgeport, a brother Joseph Perry and his wife Retta of Bridgeport, a sister Ann Marshall of New London, a sister-in-law Vicky Perry of Middletown, RI, ten grandchildren, Alicia Rosa, Melissa Perry, Jordan Perry Jr., Adam Cruz, Alex Perry, Jonathan Cruz, Laurisa Luna, Aliyah Chantal Soto-Cruz, Joshua Luna and Gabriella Marie Cruz, five great grandchildren, Christiana, Annabella, Brian, Nathaniel and Isabella, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by siblings, John, Joseph, Serafin, Manny, Olivia and Mary Perry. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Cambridge Manor and St. Vincents Medical Center. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in Cornerstone Christian Center, 192 Meadow St., Milford. Entombment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
