Obituary of Dante Pellegrino

Resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida Dante (Dan) A. Pellegrino, age 82, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, previously of Stratford, a retired employee of the United Illuminating Co., died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in Fort Myers, Florida. Born in Bridgeport to the late Dante and Tommasina Sgalia Pellegrino. he grew up in Bridgeport and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1946 in France. He was a member of the Baldwin Senior Center, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Frankies Diner Breakfast Group. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Stella Carellini Pellegrino in 1987, three brothers, Gus, Paul and Pat and two sisters, Terry Capozzi and Sophie Palumbo. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Johnson Pellegrino, a daughter, Donna Gallo and her husband, Anthony, two stepsons, Grey and Bill Metcalf of Florida, a brother, Arthur Pellegrino and his wife, Marion of West Palm Beach, Florida, three grandchildren, Jeffery Gallo and his wife, Mary Jo of Orange, Mark Gallo and his wife, Liz of Redding and Brian Gallo and his wife, Sarah of Stratford, five great grandchildren, Sarah and David Gallo of Redding, Ashlyn and Jeffrey Gallo of Orange and Baby Gallo of Stratford. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
