Obituary of Angela A. Pellegrino

Former Vesper Hill, Trumbull Resident Angela A. (Lena) Pescatore Pellegrino, age 81, of Parrish, FL, beloved wife of the late Ernest N. Pellegrino, Sr., died on Thursday, January 10, 2008 in Tampa General Hospital. Mama died peacefully surrounded by her loving daughter Rose who held her hand until she was safely home in Heaven and her son. A daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Lucia Izzo Pescatore she was born in Castelfranco in Miscano - Province of Benevento, Italy and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. Before her retirement she was employed at Remington Shaver of Bridgeport for many years. Survivors include her daughter Rose Marie Pellegrino of Parrish, FL; a son, Ernest N. Pellegrino, Jr. and his wife Sally of Pembroke Pines, FL; a brother, Jerry Pescatore of Bridgeport; and a sister, Lidia Pescatore of Castelfranco, Italy. She was predeceased by her brothers Rev. Antonio Pescatore and Alfonso Pescatore of Castelfranco, Italy. Mama Pellegrino will always be remembered for her wonderful personality, her cooking, especially her cookies. Her children will try to take over making her wonderful tomato sauce. She loved to have company over and cook for everyone, it showed in her smile. The dining room table was always ready for ten or more and the kitchen & sun porch were available if needed. Mama gave with her heart and it showed in everything she did. She will be truly missed. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial.
