Obituary of Frank Palazzo

Resident of Stratford Frank Palazzo, age 93, of Stratford, a retired locomotive engineer for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 15, 1914, he was a son of the late John and Grace Donofrio Palazzo and was a resident of Stratford for 41 years. Mr. Palazzo was formerly a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Rosary Church, a member of the Mens Club and a church volunteer. Survivors include his devoted wife of 69 years, Vera Pagliarulo Palazzo, a son John Palazzo and his wife Marilyn of West Haven, a daughter, Silvia Cassese and her husband Vincent of Stratford, a sister Gloria DelBuono of Trumbull, three grandchildren, John Anthony Palazzo, Dante Palazzo and his wife Kristina and Jennifer Merola and her husband John, two great grandchildren, Emily and Julia and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers Ralph and John Palazzo. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Bill from the Connecticut Hospice in Shelton. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.
