Obituary of Lurie V. Oefinger-Patuzzi

Lurie Virginia Jeffries Oefinger Patuzzi, age 91, of Shelton, a retired licensed practical nurse for St. Vincent Medical Center, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Bishop Wicke Health Center. Born in Waterbury on October 14, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Taylor Jeffries. Mrs. Oefinger lived for many years in Bridgeport before moving to Trumbull in 1984 and later to Wesley Heights in Shelton. She graduated from the Boothe and Bayliss Business School and the St. Vincent-Bullard Havens L. P. N. Program. She was previously the office manager for Moss Construction Company.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Earl Oefinger.

Survivors include her husband, Dante Patuzzi, three beloved children, William Oefinger of Tierra Verde, Florida, Anne Murray and her husband, Jack of Trumbull and Laura Burstein and her husband, Paul of Shelton. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Michael Oefinger and his wife, Laura, Dawn Garill and her husband, Jack, Donna Oefinger, Joanna Murray Keylock and her husband, Lee, Paula Murray Picchi and her husband, Massimo, George Hoffman and his wife, Kamisha and Jeffrey Hoffman; precious great-grandchildren, Jessica and Julie Ann Garill, Jake, Sam, Liam and Aidan Keylock, Dylan Napolitano, Michela Picchi, Thomas, Daniel, Jenna and Damian Hoffman. She is also survived by two step great-grandchildren, Gerald and Marisa and several nieces and nephews including John and Mary Anne Shail of Seymour. 

Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
