Obituary of Warren C. Blake

Trumbull Resident BLAKE - Warren C. Blake, age 85, of Trumbull, an Accountant at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 30 years, died on Sunday, December 23, 2007 in St. Josephs Manor, Trumbull. Born in Irvington, NJ on July 31, 1922, he was a son of the late Ralph and Elsie Rechsteiner Blake and was a resident of Trumbull for 18 years. Mr. Blake was a U.S Army Veteran serving in World War II and later a graduate of Duke University. He was a past president of The Trumbull Historical Society. He was a member of Friends of The Library, Trumbull and The Trumbull Library Writers Workshop and was author of the book Connecticut Beckons. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Barbara Hurley Blake of Trumbull; a son, Stephen Blake and his wife Karen of Orland, ME; daughter, Cynthia Cirillo and her husband Michael of Bridgeport; a sister Lois Benton of Delaware, Ohio; two grandchildren, Nicole and Edward Cirillo, who brought him much joy, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull followed by a prayer service that will take place on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
