Obituary of Daniel E. O'Keefe

Bridgeport Resident Daniel Edward OKeefe III, age 56, of Bridgeport, a Respiratory Therapist for Norwalk Hospital, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 19, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on November 12, 1951, he was a son of the late Daniel II and Pauline Smetana OKeefe and was a former resident of Trumbull. Mr. OKeefe attended Fairfield Prep. and Trumbull High School and a was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, Stamford. Prior to becoming a respiratory therapist he was the owner and operator of Pineapple Oxygen and Fairfield County Respiratory Associates and was a limo driver for ODonnell Limousines. He loved baseball, basketball and football and participated in Trumbull Little League as a child and later played and umpired fast pitch softball. He was a little league coach for his son Daniels team and a Cub Scout Den leader. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Judi Zavatsky OKeefe and his son Daniel E. OKeefe IV of Bridgeport who he loved so much, a sister Pauline Dorey and her husband David of Bridgeport, a niece, Kelly Erazo and a nephew Charles Dorey as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Charles, Michael and Marilyn OKeefe a nephew David Dorey II. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
