Obituary of Ethel Florence Nelson

Nelson, Ethel Florence, age 88 of North Oaks, MN passed away January 31, 2013. Ethel was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 26, 1924 to Ernest and Edith Allan. She grew up in Narragansett, RI, graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Social Work, and then was employed by Connecticut Department of Child Welfare. Ethel was an exceptional homemaker and was active in church and several Christian organizations. Her abiding faith in Christ was demonstrated by her generous hospitality. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Hilmer; children, Bradley (Deborah) of Ham Lake, MN, Janet Nelson of Cumming, GA, and Marcia (Rev. Randall) Matthews of Shelton, CT; and eight grandchildren. Funeral was held in North Oaks, MN. Funeral Information Friends are invited to the Interment Service at 1 p.m. Friday, February 8 at Mountain Grove Cemetery Chapel, 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
