Obituary of Mary R. Bevacqua

Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother Mary R. Bevacqua age 82, of Stratford, the beloved wife of John W. Bevacqua, Sr. for 62 years, died in Bridgeport Hospital on October 23, 2010. Born in New Haven on October 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Adeline Daston Ruotolo. Mary was the Past President of the St. Mark Church Ladies Guild, a volunteer at Lord Chamberlain for over 30 years, a Eucharistic Minister and avid Yankee Fan. Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, Vincent Bevacqua and his wife Kathleen of Stratford, John Bevacqua, Jr. and his girlfriend Nancy of Stratford, Frank Bevacqua and his wife Cheryl of Stratford, two brothers Anthony Ruotolo and his wife Ann of Wallingford, Pasquale Ruotolo and his wife Vivian of East Haven, three sisters Rose Ruotolo of East Haven, Antoinette (Tootsie) Piccolo of Clinton, Ann Criscio-Smith and her husband Charles of Clinton, seven grandchildren Mary and her companion Roger, Frank, Matthew, Daniel, Elizabeth, Meghan and Tyler, one great grandson, Roger, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Garden Mausoleum.
