Obituary of Vivian Cocozza Carellini

Vivian Cocozza Carellini, age 90, formerly of Trumbull, the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Carellini Jr., passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Born in Bridgeport on November 22, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Arganese) Cocozza.

Before her retirement, Vivian was the owner and operator of the Papagallo Shoe Store for many years. She loved working at the store, taking care of her customers and always cherished the relationships she developed over the years. She was a strong woman who fought a courageous battle over several years.  She lived for her family and devoted much of her time taking care of her grandchildren and baking specialty cakes for their birthdays. She could always be found driving around in her Volkswagen Bug visiting all her cousins or cooking Italian food for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister, friend and was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her great grand daughter Marie will always hold a special place in her heart. 

Survivors include her beloved children, her daughter, Denise Senko and her husband Fred of Monroe and her son, Frank Carellini III and his wife Christine of Fishkill, NY, her brother, Louis Cocozza and his wife Dottie of Easton, five grandchildren, Jessie Senko, Sara Kattirtzi and her husband John, Frank Carellini IV, Peter Carellini and Jenna Carellini and her great granddaughter, Marie Kattirtzi as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sister, Mimi Capasso.

Friends may greet the family on Tuesday (TODAY) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. All other funeral services will be private.
