Obituary of Anita D. Beer

Anita Louise Derouin Beer, age 84, of Trumbull passed away on March 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Beer was born in Waterbury and was a longtime Trumbull resident. Anita was a kind and loving soul who touched the lives of many as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother "Nonnie", and best friend. She was known for her boundless generosity and willingness to help others in need. Anita's warm and caring nature endeared her to all who knew her. Anita excelled in school, by graduating at the top of her class in grammar school, with Honors at Crosby High School, and Valedictorian from the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. In her professional life, Anita was a Registered Nurse at Waterbury and Bridgeport Hospitals, serving in the NICU units, a Realtor at David Mase Real Estate, and a Volunteer Broadcast Reader for the Blind. She dedicated herself to caring for others in various capacities, leaving a lasting impact on those she served. An active attendee of both St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Anita found comfort and community in her faith. She also found joy in spending time with her family, especially beach vacations and trips to California. Anita also enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, sewing, and cheering on the Red Sox, New England Patriots and the UConn Women's Huskies Basketball team. She also learned to play the piano as a child, and also played the organ in her later years.

Anita is survived by her two devoted daughters, Wendy Middlemass and Sharon Robinson, her two loving sons-in-law, Kirk Middlemass and Richard Robinson, her three cherished granddaughters, Kylie Middlemass, Caroline and Julia Robinson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Frederick Beer, her two sisters, Elaine Lemieux and Gloria Bosse, and her parents, Gladys and Walter Derouin.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull.
