Obituary of Roger A. Attianese

Roger A. Attianese, age 84, of Stratford, beloved husband of Joyce Moffet Attianese, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 surrounded by his family at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on October 13, 1939, he was the son of the late Anthony and Edith Massimino Attianese. Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country honorably, and proudly owned and operated Roger’s Bakery & Deli in Milford.  He was a big sports fan admiring the New York Yankees and Giants. He enjoyed gardening and walking the beach but his favorite times were those being surrounded by his loving family.  He will be dearly missed. 

 

In addition to his wife Joyce of 26 years, he is survived by his four children, Jimmy Attianese, Laura (Andrew) Deschenes, Michele (Patrick) Luketich and Colleen (Evan) Bush, his sisters, Linda Attianese and Alicia (Joseph) DeSabia, fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Milone, brother-in-law, Joseph Milone and nephew, Steven Wagner. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Rd., Fairfield. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
