Obituary of George Stephen LaBaoult

U. S. Army Air Corps Veteran George Stephen LaBaoult, age 87, of Nichols, beloved husband of 66 years to Mary Louise Cuming LaBaoult, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital with his beloved family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1924 to the late Mary Oros and Homer LaBaoult, George was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the Army Air Corps, the Air Transport Command and the 240th Finance Disbursing Center in Manila, PI. George graduated in 1943 from Bassick High School and attended the University of Bridgeport and Fairfield University. His entire business career was in Purchasing starting as Purchasing Manager at Bridgeport Metal Goods continuing at Columbia Records, Electric Boat, Avco Lycoming and retiring from Norden Systems, Division of UTC. George is a member of VFW Post 9460 and American Legion Post 0141. He was a member of the Salesman and Purchasing Agents Association and the Pinewood Lake Association serving as President and on the Board of Governors. In addition to his wife MaryLou, he is survived by his loving children, Debra Ann Leone and husband Peter, George Alan LaBaoult and wife Darlene, and cherished granddaughter Danielle Troy and husband Richard. He is also survived by family members, Cele and Harold Scher, Diane LeBeau and Walter LeBeau, Louis Cuming, Teresa Lioci Cuming, Ralph Dennon, Orten and Betty Pengue, Arthur and Carol Pengue, Celeste and Richard Card II, Lisa, Michael and LeAnna Basque and longtime friends, Pauline and Robert Kretvix, Marjorie Brideau and Mary Louise and Russell Jagoe. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by Stephen and Marie Oros, Anna Jaycox, Celeste Ruth and Benjamin Tator, Joseph Cuming, Norma Cuming, Robert Mitchell and Richard Card III. George, know that you are loved and will be forever in our hearts as you start your journey to be with the God you so love. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate a life well lived will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in the Nichols Farms Burial Grounds, Shelton Road, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
