Obituary of Ethel M. Mezzoni

Ethel M. "June" Mezzoni, age 86 of Stratford, and beloved wife of the late Joseph Mezzoni, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born on June 7, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Andera. June worked as a sales clerk for over 20 years at the gift shop of the Marriot Hotel. An avid Boston Redsox and Nascar fan, she also enjoyed listening to country music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include three loving sons, Joseph Mezzoni and his wife Christine of Hopkinsville, KY, Gerry Mezzoni and his wife Nancy of Milford, and John Mezzoni and his wife Cheryl of Milford; six cherished grandchildren, Pamela Mezzoni, Amanda Marino and her husband Brian, GeriLynn Mezzoni, Joe Mezzoni, John Mezzoni, and Rachel Mezzoni; and her three adored great grandchildren, Garrett Sharp, Hannah Marino, and R.J. Marino as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September, 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
