Obituary of Catherine M. DiBecelle

Resident of Shelton Catherine M. Sarni DiBecelle, age 93, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Michael D. DiBecelle, died peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 6, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Pauline DOrtenzio Sarni. She was an assembler for the G.E. Company for over 10 years before her retirement and had also been employed by Warnaco. She was a lifelong devoted New York Yankee fan. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Alice DiBecelle, a grandson, Scott DiBecelle, a sister, Yolanda DeMonte and brothers, Mark and Joseph Sarni. Survivors include two sons, Raymond DiBecelle and Philip DiBecelle and his wife Eileen, all of Shelton, four grandchildren, Deborah Ann Moura and her husband Sylvester, Michael, Dean and Michelle DiBecelle, four great grandchildren, Amy, Michele, Danielle and Dominick and a great great grandson, Scott. She is also survived by a brother, Alex Sarni of Shelton and a sister, Elizabeth Petite of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
