Obituary of Jack E. Tippett

Monroe Resident Jack E. Tippett, Jr., age 71, of Monroe, beloved husband of Irene Brake Tippett, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on September 12, 1940, he was a son of the late Jack E. Sr. and Marion Danlon Tippett. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a sprinkler fitter for Harrington Engineering for many years before his retirement. An avid reader, he enjoyed baking and a good roller coaster. In addition to Irene, his beloved wife of 50 years, survivors include his stepmother, H. Jean Tippett of Fairfield, four children, Tracey Tippett and Todd Tippett, both of Monroe, Terry Tippett and his wife Donna of Middletown and Tammy Belles and her husband Craig of Webster, NY, five grandchildren, Rachel Irizarry and her husband Daybar, Chelsey, Alexander and Matthew Belles and Lauren Lavin, a great grandson, Harris Irizarry, a brother, Fred Tippett of Fairfield, two sisters, Kathy Pauze of Brookline, MA and Janice Kelb and her husband Gary of Fairfield as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Covenant Church, 1 Sport Hill Rd., Easton. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
