Obituary of Arlene R. Lipnickas

Arlene Lupo Lipnickas, age 88, of Shelton, beloved wife of John F. Lipnickas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Lupo and Anna Albenando Lupo.

A graduate of the Central High School Class of 1955, she was formerly employed at Bridgeport Brass and loved every minute of it; she was also an executive secretary for Harvey Hubbell and later she embraced the role of homemaker, devoting herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones.

Arlene was a member of the Lady Trinacria Society and was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. The unconditional love she gave and the values she instilled will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was an amazing cook, lived a beautiful life and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her beloved husband of 60 years, John, survivors include her two loving daughters, Julianne Lipnickas and Lorraine Lipnickas, four cherished grandchildren, Tyler Hallet, Garrett Hallet, John Latham and Arley Latham, a sister, Janet Mischik and her husband Joe, two brothers, Samuel Lupo and Richard Lupo Sr., and his wife Cecilia, a sister-in-law, Dolores Pellegrino, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
