Obituary of Cornel "Nel" Ferron

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved Cornel, affectionately known as "Nel," of Shelton, Connecticut. Cornel transitioned to glory on August 27, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on January 30, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica, Cornel was the cherished son of Stanley and Jannetta (Hall) Ferron. He spent his formative years in Jamaica, where he developed strong values, character, and a resilient spirit that would guide him throughout his life. Cornel had a successful career that spanned both entrepreneurship and master electrical trade.

He was a loving, kind-hearted, and hard-working man whose warm presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Cornel will be remembered for his impeccable "GQ" style, gentle temperament, and unwavering devotion to the Lord. His wisdom and steadfast presence made a lasting difference in the lives of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to have known him.

Cornel was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Veron Elizabeth. Together, they shared a union filled with love, laughter, travel, faith, commitment, and plenty of matching outfits. He was a devoted father to Jermaine and Alton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at Refuge Temple Church of God located at 3050 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606 followed by interment in Huntington Cemetery, South Lawn located at 268 Huntington Street, Shelton, CT 06484.
