Obituary of Susan Sipos

Susan Brown Sipos, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late William J. Sipos, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026 with her loving family by her side. A longtime resident of Trumbull, Susan was born on June 19, 1939 in Hartford to the late Leonard and Lillian Brown. 

She was a loving and devoted friend, wife, mother and grandmother. She treasured time spent with her family, especially with her four grandchildren. The unconditional love she provided will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Susan will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, understanding, and her love for both Neil Diamond and animals. She enjoyed her years as a waitress and treated everyone who sat at her tables like family.

Survivors include her cherished older sister, Janet Sneed, her three loving children, William J. Sipos, Jr. and his wife Kathy, Carol Sipos and her wife Kimberly Carlin and Joanne Thompson and her husband Scott, four cherished grandchildren, William J. III and Kelly Sipos and Jayme and Nicole Thompson, as well as several nieces, nephews and her longtime childhood friend, Carol McGovern.  She was predeceased by her husband William Sipos and her brother Robert Brown.

The family would like to thank Connecticut Baptist Homes in Meriden for the wonderful care and love they provided to her over the past five years.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 4-7p.m. for a celebration of life at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place at 6:30pm. Interment will be private.
