I am so sad to hear of the passing of Danny. who was a high school and college friend from many years ago. I always remember growing up with him, and recall his laughter and conviviality. We shared an Italian heritage. He was jovial, intelligent, and a true gentleman. Later in life, I enjoyed reading his posts as a dog lover and supporter of canine adoptions.He will be missed.

Dottie, I was so very sad to hear of Dan's passing. I just loved his posts about traveling around with Prince and his wonderful posts about dogs at the Norwalk animal shelter. I know he helped many sweet doggies find their forever homes. The beach will not be the same without him. RIP Dan and comfort to you Dottie.

Did not personally know Danny, met a couple times over the years, feels like I do know him by all his wonderful Facebook posts with Prince. Looked forward to whatever adventure they were on, or the story of the day at Paw’s.

Dan was truly the best human being. When we moved our prescriptions to Lupe's, we knew that his business would be one of the last true neighborhood pharmacies where the staff would care about each and every patient coming through his door. I'd always hear him yell out a hello from behind the counter as he was working diligently on scripts. He and his crew were so kind and helpful. As a fellow rescuer, we shared a lot of happiness and heartache. We'll miss you so much, Danny.

I only knew Dan from his Facebook posts, but I feel as if I have lost a friend. I have so enjoyed following his adventures with Prince and all the dogs he helped along the way. I take solace in the idea that he and Prince were not apart for very long, and I hope they are enjoying sunsets on the beach in a better realm. May both of them enjoy eternal light and peace, and may their loved ones be comforted in this time of grief and loss.

My deepest condolences to Danny’s family. I’ve known Danny just about all my life The first time I met him, he was in the pharmacy with his father whom Danny called”chief”! So when I met Mr. Lupparelli, I called him chief also. When we moved to the north end, we used Danny’s Lupes number two on Main Street for all of our pharmaceutical needs Danny was kind, generous and informative and always was there for us when we had a question He’ll leave a legacy of a fine man with compassion, trust and leadership for the community I am truly sorry about his passing
