Obituary of Sister Mary Ann Bazata SSND

Sister Mary Ann Bazata, SSND was born to Mary and James Bazata on June 20, 1934 in Bridgeport, CT. She is survived by her sister, Anita Cadella and her nieces; Susan Collins, MaryAnn Cadella, & Donna Pettola and their families.

Sister entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1952. During her years as an educator, Sister taught in NY, NJ, and CT.

Sister Mary Ann Bazata died peacefully on Sunday. August 23, 2026 at 3030 Park.

Services will be held at St. Andrew Church, 435 Anton St., Bridgeport, CT on Wednesday, Sept 2, 2026. Viewing is at 10:00 A.M., wake service at 10:30 and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bethel, CT.
