Obituary of Leona T. Colello
Leona "Lee" Colello, age 90, of Trumbull passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She shared 63 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Joseph Colello, who preceded her in death in 2021.
She treasured the time she spent with family and friends, creating many cherished memories throughout her life. Some of her happiest moments were hosting family gatherings, decorating for the holidays, welcoming company to their summer home on Canoe Brook Lake, sharing meals at Captain's Cove with her sister and friends, and preparing homemade meals for those she loved. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and visiting the casino. She was one of Elvis Presley's biggest fans, and his music brought her great joy.
She is survived by her daughter Kristen Colello and her husband, Glenn; her two loving grandchildren, Krissalee and Britley; and her son, Glen Colello, and his wife Lisa; and her beloved siblings Patricia Connelly, Joyce Carre, and Ronald Boucher; and her dear friend, Pat Colombo. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mary L. (Andrews) Boucher; and her siblings, Shirley Boucher Colombo, Robert Boucher, and Edward Boucher.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her granddaughter, Krissalee, for the exceptional love, care, and devotion she provided during the final years of her grandmother's life. The family would also like to thank all those who offered their time, support, and kindness in caring for her and providing comfort during her final months including Dominic DiCarlo.
